Legal Liability

This short-term rest stay is a private, home-based, voluntary support initiative offered at no cost and on a limited basis. It is not a shelter, emergency service, housing program, or protective service.

 

By submitting a Rest Stay Request, entering the property, or remaining on the premises, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms:

 

 

 

1. No Professional or Emergency Services

This initiative does not provide medical, legal, therapeutic, social work, housing placement, or law-enforcement services. The host is not acting in a professional, licensed, or representative capacity of any agency or organization. The host is not acting on behalf of the U.S. military, Department of Defense, or any affiliated organization.

If you are in immediate danger or require emergency, medical, legal, financial, or protective assistance, you must contact 911 or local authorities.

 

2. Voluntary Participation & Personal Responsibility

Participation is voluntary. Guests are fully responsible for their own decisions, safety planning, behavior, and next steps before, during, and after their stay.

 

The host assumes no responsibility or liability for actions taken by guests prior to arrival, during the stay, or after departure.

 

3. No Tenancy or Housing Rights

This rest stay:

• Is limited to a maximum of 24 hours

• Does not create tenancy, residency, client, caretaker, or landlord-tenant rights

• Does not guarantee future stays

• Does not provide housing placements or housing rights resources and/or services

 

4. Safety and House Protocols

 To protect the host, household, neighbors, and guests:

• No men, partners, or visitors are allowed on the property due to the nature of the stay - unless they are arriving solely to pick you up.

• Guests may not disclose, share, or publicly identify the location of the property for privacy and safety reasons

  • Guest may not photograph, record, post livestream, tag locations, or otherwise share identifying details of the property or stay on social media or with third parties.​

• Weapons of any kind, illegal substances, drugs, nor alcohol are permitted on the property.

• Unsafe, disrespectful, or aggressive behavior will result in immediate end of stay.

• Cameras are present in common areas and outdoor spaces. There are no cameras in your bedroom or bathroom.

• Theft is not tolerated.

• All guidelines presented on the About and Legal Liability pages must be followed.

• Immediate conclusion of rest stay may occur if safety, HOA compliance, or household stability is compromised 

 

5. Property, Neighborhood & HOA Compliance

Guests must comply with all applicable homeowner association (HOA) rules, neighborhood regulations, and property guidelines outlined on the About page during their stay.

 

This includes, but is not limited to:

• No disruptive behavior, loitering, or drawing attention to the property

• No excessive noise at any time

• Compliance with parking restrictions and designated parking areas. Parking must comply with HOA rules.

• No gatherings, visitors, or activities that violate HOA standards

Guests must comply with all HOA requirements including limitations on duration of stay, parking visibility, noise, and guest conduct. Failure to comply with HOA standards, neighborhood regulations, or property guidelines will result in immediate termination of the stay.

6. Product & Prohibited Items

The following are strictly prohibited: 

• Weapons of any kind

• Illegal substances or drugs

• Alcohol

Violations will result in immediate removal and may lead to further action, including a police report.

7. Children/Teens​

• Primary guest must be 18 years of age or older (must present government -issued, photo ID). If accompanied by children/teens, the primary guest must be the children/teens' parent or legal guardian.

  • Children must be under the direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian at all times

  • Children may not be left unattended anywhere on the property

 

8. Limited Liability

The host is not legally responsible for:

    •    Guest actions or decisions

    •    Incidents occurring off the property

    •    Legal outcomes involving guests

    •    Lost, damaged, or stolen personal items

    •    Injuries caused by guest behavior or rule violations.

 

9. Emergency Situations

The host reserves the right to contact emergency services if the guest appears to be:

• In immediate danger

• Medically unstable

• A threat to themselves or others

 

10. Information Privacy

Personal information shared during the request or stay will remain private unless disclosure is required for:

• Safety reasons

• Emergency response

• Legal or regulatory obligations

By submitting a Rest Stay Request or entering the property, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined on this page, the About page, and the Booking Guidelines.
